In this guide, we will talk about how to get curtain measurement when you already have curtain rod and tracks installed to get the curtain dimensions you need.

How to Measure Curtain Width with Existing Curtain Rod or Track
If you already have a set of curtains or blinds, you can follow the measurements for width here:
Curtain Rod or Poles
Measure the width of the pole that you have without the end caps and you will get the width that is required of your curtains.
Curtain Tracks
Measure the full track’s width and you will get the right width you need.
Get Better Curtain Width Coverage
Measurement for Width of Curtains
Add 2.5cm to the width of your curtains (left + right) so they can overlap and close fully.
Pencil Pleat Curtains and Eyelet Curtains
Double the width of your curtain rod or track to get the correct sized curtain gathering.
How to Measure Curtain Drop With Existing Curtain Rod or Track Installed
This part will teach you how to find the curtain drop (length) with different kinds of curtain rods, track or curtain style.
Curtain Poles with Ring (Pencil Pleat or Pinch Pleat curtains)
Measure from the eye of the ring to the length/height you require.
Standard Pleat Tracks
Measure from the top of the track to the length/height you require.
Eyelet Curtain Rod
Measure from the top of the pole to the length/height you require.

Measurement for Length of Curtains
Above Sill: End 1cm above windowsill
Below sill: End 15cm above windowsill
Floor Length: End 1cm above the floor
Accuracy of Your Curtain Length
Measure different points (left, right, center) of the room as windowsills and floors might be uneven at time. Use the smallest measurement as your length.
